Research Associate (m/f/d) (salary group 13 TVöD [Collective agreement for the public service]; 29,25 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Research and publication activities in the field of psychological methods and statistics within the core areas of our research group (), for example causal inference, individual diagnostics, multi-level and longitudinal modeling, machine learning and Bayesian statistics, and at the interface of psychological meth-ods and statistics as well as personality psychology and psychological diagnostics
- Academic service activities such as methodological and statistical consulting
- Assistance in teaching to the extent of basically 2,0 trimester hours per week
- Possibility of further academic qualification (e.g. doctorate or habilitation)
- Carrying out general administrative work as well as academic activities in academic self-administration
Qualification requirements
- A completed university degree [Diplom (univ.) or Master] in psychology, statistics or a related discipline completed with very good results
Furthermore desired
- Knowledge of foreign language in German with a proficiency level that corresponds at least to the language level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
- Scientific and academic achievements appropriate to the candidate's career level
- Excellent knowledge of psychological methods, statistics and diagnostics
- Knowledge of statistical software, especially R
- Proactivity, reliability, ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
- Independent and structured way of working, creative problem-solving skills
- Strong mathematical and statistical-analytical skills

The employment is based on the TVöD in conjunction with the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz [German Act on Fixed-Term Scientific Contracts]. In principle, the activities correspond to pay group 13 (E13). Classification up to pay group 13 of the TVöD shall be made in accordance with § 12 of the TVöD with regard to the activities to be performed on a more than temporary basis and the fulfilment of the personal or collective agreement requirements (job characteristics).
