We are currently looking for a Territory Manager (m/f/d) to join our Sales team in Germany. In this position you will manage a dedicated sales territory (e.g. major part of NRW). This is a field-based position with home office and frequent travel across the dedicated territory of responsibility.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Be responsible for managing and growing Cepheid business within the assigned geography for both customer accounts and prospect accounts including, but not limited to, hospitals, private laboratories and POC settings.
- Drive a complex, multi-departmental sale from the introduction of new diagnostic concepts through closure and implementation.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with Key Accounts in Private Labs
- Introduce and develop new testing in POC
- Develop demand for, and adoption of, new assays and instrumentation.
- Work closely with internal resources such as Field Application Specialist and Marketing to develop and implement customer & region -specific sales strategies.
- Develop and deliver presentations and proposals, host and assist with product shows
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in scientific fields of Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Oncology, Virology, Economics or similar
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in a sale position within hospital and private lab environment
- Strong track record of sales success, specifically in selling high value products
- Skilled using a CRM application(s) such as Salesforce.com or others
- Fluent in German and English
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Solution selling / consultative sales approach
- Expertise with demand creation and multi-departmental hospital sales is a plus
- Customer focus and relationship building skills
- Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel 50-75% within the territory with occasional overnight
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
