On behalf of our client, a med tech start-up we seek a Director of Engineering to be based anywhere in NRW, Germany. My client has recently secured Series A funding and wishes to establish a new production facility in Germany to manufacture cutting edge endoscopy devices. Responsibilities: - Leader of a group located at a new facility in NRW rising to six people by the end of 2025 - Leading the transition of the Endoscopy products from, at present, "fully-functional" to "refined-for-market”; requiring design and software enhancements. - Establishing pilot scale manufacturing in NRW - Establishing manufacturing and quality engineering to lab-scale UK processes, prior to their transfer to pilot plant in Germany Experience: - Management of a comparably-sized, or larger, team in either design or manufacturing engineering. - Desirable: Management of software projects - Desirable: Medical technology products Qualifications: - Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industrial experience - Minimum ten years of experience in the required field(s) - Fluent English and ideally, German
