As Project Manager Regulatory Design CCU/S (f/m/d) you drive project development by identifying, comprehending, and monitoring the regulatory landscape at the European, national, and regional levels. This supports the development of commercially viable carbon utilization paths in close collaboration with corporate functions.
You provide support for all certification and monitoring processes necessary for generating certificates required to monetize the carbon value stream, such as Carbon Footprint Analysis and Carbon Removal Credits.
You serve as the interface between internal and external stakeholders regarding project funding from government or government bodies at the European, national, and regional levels. This includes monitoring related activities of other market players.
You should have a solid understanding of the input markets that are essential for efficiently developing and operating onsite carbon capture systems, including regulations related to power and steam supply, grid charges, and other necessary resources.
You position the EEP CCU/S carbon removal activities and support political efforts aimed at shaping future regulatory frameworks that impact the CCU/S value chain. This is done in close cooperation with the Business Development department.
You develop a knowledge management system within the business unit, with a focus on commercial aspects.
Your qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in the energy industry or in carbon related regulatory businesses or bodies
- University degree in legal or (energy) economics with a strong technical background. Beneficial: practical or academic background in the field of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage and/or BECCS/Carbon Dioxide Removal Methodologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory framework for CCU/S in Europe, ideally existing network in the European CCU/S community
- Capability and creativity to interlink technical, regulatory, commercial and legal aspect
- Entrepreneurial mindset and high commitment to company vision, values and excellent customer service
- Good sense of humour and positive attitude, ability to interact and motivate project team members
- Written and spoken English fluency is essential; ideally German native speaker or B2 level, knowledge of other languages is beneficial.
- Availability for short business trips in Europe to meet customers and other stakeholders
