The Department of Physics, research group on "Physics of Solar Energy Conversion ", Prof. Dr. Jan Christoph Goldschmidt is currently accepting applications for a Research Assistant (Postdoc) The position is offered for a period of 4 years. The starting date is as soon as possible. The position is fulltime with salary and benefits commensurate with a public service position in the state Hesse, Germany (TV-H E 13, 100 %). Our group works on innovative solar cell technologies for a sustainable future energy system. Our focus is on perovskite-based tandem solar cells and the use of sustainable materials. We offer family-friendly working hours in an international team and an open, appreciative group culture. Good supervision and professional support for your further development are important to us! We are currently setting up a state-of-the-art glovebox line with various coating systems (spin-coating, blade-coating, ALD, sputtering, vapour deposition) for the production of perovskite solar cells. In addition to many established methods, a number of excellent luminescence-based measuring devices are available for sample characterisation (hyperspectral PL imaging, absolute-calibrated PL, various transient methods). With your research, you will be involved in our collaborations with renowned international research groups, for example within the framework of Horizon Europe and DFG collaborative projects. We are looking for a motivated, excellent scientist who would like to work with us to further develop research in the field of perovskite-based tandem solar cells and utilise the excellent opportunities to develop their own ideas. Tasks: Research in the field of perovskite-based tandem solar cells, in particular the development of manufacturing processes and the investigation of interface effects Development of the laboratory infrastructure Support in project acquisition, later increasingly independent acquisition of third-party funds Publication of scientific results at international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals Participation in teaching, in particular in the "Physics of Green Technologies" degree programme The position is limited to the period which is adequate to the duration of the qualification period.
