We are looking for a Technical Product Manager - Electrical Tank Water Heater role in Midea Germany Research Center.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research to identify and comprehend the needs of European customers, and effectively convert these insights into technical specifications for product development.
- Spearhead the advancement of products tailored for the European market by orchestrating the efforts of global research and development (R&D) and sales teams.
- Vigilantly monitor the water heater industry to identify emerging trends and regulatory shifts, enabling the proactive adaptation or formulation of product technical strategies.
- Acquire a deep understanding of the competitive landscape to strategically plan and position products.
- Lead and oversee the processes for product compliance and certification, ensuring adherence to relevant standards.
- Facilitate the commercialization of products through support in customer onboarding, training sessions, participation in expos, and other promotional activities.
- Engage actively in the strategic planning of product and technology, contributing valuable insights and direction.
- Initiate and manage external R&D collaborations to investigate and seize opportunities for disruptive product innovations.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in a related field.
- A minimum of seven years of technical experience within the water heater or related appliance industry.
- At least three years of experience in product management or a comparable role, demonstrating a proven track record of leading diverse, cross-functional teams towards achieving tangible results.
- Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape relevant to the European Union.
- A well-maintained knowledge base regarding the competitive dynamics within the European market.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in additional European languages such as German, Italian, or Spanish would be a plus.
- Willingness to undertake up to 25% domestic and international travel to fulfill business requirements, including attending trade shows, client meetings, and other relevant engagements.
